Ginto Club
The lighting environment of a private business club
Gynto Club is a private business club in central Moscow that brings together a dining area, meeting rooms, a cigar room and a library space.
The club is designed for business meetings, private events, relaxation and work in an intimate atmosphere.
The project’s distinctive feature is a combination of functional and decorative lighting that shapes a single visual image of light across all functional zones.
The space brings together several functional zones of differing character — from the formal dining hall to the secluded cigar room.
The role of light is to keep a single visual language across the whole guest journey while giving each zone its own mood: representative in the hall, calm in the lounge, focused in the meeting room and library.
Particular attention goes to the reflective and textured materials — brass, marble, wood and velvet — which behave differently under warm accent light.

How light supports the architecture and atmosphere
A single language of light
A warm colour temperature, concealed backlighting and decorative fixtures recur from zone to zone, linking the reception, hall, lounge and club rooms into a coherent environment.
Light by zone
Each room has its own scene: accent light in the dining hall, soft diffused lighting in the lounge, directional light over the tables in the meeting room and shelf lighting in the library and cigar room.
Light and materials
Backlighting of bars and shelving, linear sconces and decorative pendants reveal the texture of brass, marble and wood, supporting the depth of the interior’s saturated colours.
The interior reads as layered lighting: ambient light, functional accents and decorative fixtures work together without competing.
Concealed backlighting of bars and shelving, vertical and linear fixtures at reception, crystal and brass pendants in the halls and floor lamps in the club rooms form a recognisable visual rhythm across the guest journey.

Light gathers the differing spaces into a single club environment: the guest moves from the formal dining hall to the intimate lounge and club rooms while sensing the continuity of the lighting.
Warm accents bring out the materials and decor, keeping a representative yet welcoming atmosphere.
The result is visually coherent lighting in which each zone is recognisable yet subordinate to the overall character of the interior.

The thinking behind this project
In this project light acts as the connecting element of the interior — it unites rooms of differing function into a single club space.
