Lighting Engineering & Design

We develop interior and exterior lighting documentation from an approved lighting concept, architectural decisions or the client’s brief. Our aim is to make the intended lighting technically buildable, coordinating equipment requirements and related engineering systems.

Process

How we run the work

  1. 01

    Review of project inputs

    Review the brief, architectural drawings, approved concept where available and engineering requirements.

  2. 02

    Equipment & control strategy

    Preselect luminaires and mounting options, and agree the control principles and requirements for lighting scenes.

  3. 03

    Calculations & layouts

    Verify the selection with photometric calculations, refine quantities and positions, and revise decisions where needed.

  4. 04

    Engineering documentation

    Prepare the agreed design and working documentation, including luminaire layouts, power and lighting control diagrams.

  5. 05

    Specifications & estimates

    Prepare equipment and control component schedules, material specifications and estimates as required by the brief.

Throughout every stage, we coordinate with the architectural, structural and engineering disciplines. Calculation results may require further adjustments to luminaires and layouts.
